摘要

Catherine Manning, a senior associate at Eversheds Sutherland law firm, considers the questions EU and UK companies should ask about their supply chains in advance of a no-deal Brexit. It was almost unthinkable two years ago that the terms of the UK’s exit would not be agreed by this point. But, with less than a month to go before the Brexit date of 29 March, the likelihood of any deal – or whether the Article 50 deadline will be extended – is unclear. UK MPs will have a 'meaningful vote' on Brexit by 12 March and, if they reject the proposed deal, they will vote on 13 March on whether or not to accept leaving the EU without an agreement. If MPs reject the option of leaving without a deal, there will be a further vote on 14 March on whether to delay Brexit by extending Article 50. This would also require the agreement of other EU member states.
