German rebar producers keep prices high despite lower demand

Buying activity has slowed down in the German rebar market since the end of Jan uary due to weak demand from end users. Meanwhile, local mills are holding prices at a high level. Despite weak demand and prices decreased in longs and scrap markets, German rebar producers are holding firm to their prices in the first half of February because they paid a lot for scrap in the previous month and due to low competition with foreign suppliers.
