Jindal Steel Commences Exporting Mozambican Coal In March

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., India plans to export coking coal produced from Changara project, a new coking coal project in Mozambique in March. Changara project aims to exploit a surface mining coal mine in the Changara region situated in the western part of the Tete Province, and export coking coal produced at this coal mine to India, etc.. A small-scale coal production from this project has started since November, 2012. Although the present production volume of coal is hundreds of thousands of tons in a year, the production scale is supposed to be lifted to 3Mtpa in one or two years. The future production volume of coal is anticipated to be 10Mtpa.
