Russia asks Primorsk to cut oil port fee, switch to rubles

London-Russia’s Federal antimonopoly service said Tuesday it has asked the port of Primorsk to reduce its fee for the transshipment of crude oil and switch it into Russian rubles. In a statement, it said it had asked the Baltic Sea port to cancel the $2.25/mt fee which has been used since April 2015 and to establish an “economically viable” tariff based on the preceding tariffs and taking into consideration the inflation rate.
