Tamar eyes gas exports to Turkey, Cyprus, Greece

Jerusalem—The Tamar consortium and Israel’s Edeltech are examining the sale of natural gas to customers in Turkey, Cyprus and Greece, Israeli energy industry sources said Tuesday. The sources said the gas would be shipped as compressed natural gas. The sources said talks are in their preliminary stages and followed a study that found the export of gas using CNG technology would be economically feasible. CNG would eliminate the need for a pipeline or a floating LNG facility.
