Sinopec’s oil, gas production up in H1

Sydney—State-owned China Petroleum and Chemical Corp. or Sinopec saw oil and gas production total 237.01 million barrels of oil equivalent in the first six months of the year, up 8% from the corresponding period a year ago, the company said. Crude production for the half was 177.88 million barrels of which 154.15 million barrels was produced in China, up 0.32% year on year, while overseas output more than doubled to 23.73 million barrels, from the previous 11.78 million barrels.
