Lundin makes new Barents Sea oil discovery

London—Sweden’s Lundin Petroleum has found columns of oil and gas/gas condensate at the Gotha prospect 35 kilometers north west of the Snohvit field in the Barents Sea, offshore northern Norway. The Lundin discovery marks another find in a recent run of discoveries in the still largely untapped Barents Sea, in remote Arctic waters offshore Norway, which is sparking growing excitement in the oil and gas industry.
