Saudi Arabia’s crude output soars to 32-year high

London—Saudi Arabia’s August oil production shot up to levels not seen since the start of the 1980s, with output averaging 10.19 million b/d, the International Energy Agency said Thursday. In its latest monthly report, the IEA said Saudi output last month was the highest in 32 years. It also revised up its estimate for Saudi output in July by 200,000 b/d to 10 million b/d.
