London-The UK government published April 4 blueprints to overhaul the country's emer- gency oil stocks system, seeking industry feedback on proposals for the creation of an independent oil stockholding agency. In a consultation launched April 4, the gov- ernment asked the industry to consider whether a centralized stock agency, similar to that used by other EU member states, was a more "effi- cient" model for holding strategic stocks.
