Total eyes additional 350,000 b/d oil output in Nigeria

Lagos—French oil giant Total said it expects to raise its crude oil output in Nigeria by 350,000 b/d over the next three years, with additional production coming from the company’s deepwater Akpo and Usan fields. Guy Maurice, managing director of Total Nigeria, said in the company’s in-house journal released in Lagos August 1, that over the last five years Total had invested about $10 billion in oil exploration and production in Nigeria.
