A number of high-level meetings have taken place between Canadian ministers, major oil companies and UK government officials that center on the UK's stance on a new EU policy that would restrict oil from Canada's controversial oil sands pro- jects from reaching the European market, documents obtained under freedom of in- formation laws reveal.
