Mozambique to Decide in 2013 on East Africa's First LNG Project

Explorers in Mozambique will decide by 2013 whether to develop LNG in the offshore Rovuma Basin, where an estimated 4 trillion-7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas is under appraisal and more exploration is planned. It would be the first LNG venture in East Africa, where gas has also been discovered offshore Tanzania to the north, and would target Asian markets.
