Belarus state oil company Belarusneft is quitting a project to develop Iran's Jofeir oil field over differences with National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC), according to media reports this week. An Iranian official was cited as saying the differences were over production, technical matters and Belarusneft's share of earnings. The Belarusian company reportedly confirmed the move but declined to comment, saying that Minsk's official position will be made public shortly.
