Iraq Exports Near Postwar High on Improved Southern Output

Quick production gains at Iraq's giant southern oil fields are pushing exports to- ward a postwar high of some 2.1 million barrels per day this month, a senior Iraqi oil official tells International Oil Daily. That is roughly 200,000 b/d above aver- age export levels in 2010 and 2009 (see table). "We're working to achieve and sus- tain 2.1 million [b/d]," he says.
