HudBay expects copper, zinc output to rise

HudBay Minerals Inc. expects its copper production to increase fourfold this year and its zinc production to climb at least 15 percent due to planned output from new mines. The Toronto-based company expects to produce 140,000 to 175,000 tonnes of copper compared with 37,644 tonnes last year, below its 2014 guidance of 41,000 to 55,000 tonnes; and 95,000 to 120,000 tonnes of zinc vs. 82,542 tonnes in 2014, which missed its projection of 87,000 to 105,000 tonnes.
