ChemChina subsidiary Adama is to collaborate with Israeli aerospace company Tactical Robotics on a feasibility study for a high-payload drone for aerial crop spraying. ChemChina subsidiary Adama is to collaborate with Israeli aerospace company Tactical Robotics on a feasibility study for a high-payload drone for aerial crop spraying. Tactical Robotics has developed the Cormorant, a compact, high payload, vertical-take-off-and- landing UAV with “unique” capabilities. It can carry an over 500 kg (764 kg including fuel) effective payload, without the need for an airstrip and can be transported by lorry. The Cormorant can carry out multiple tasks, ranging from logistics and cargo services to fire- fighting and aerial spraying. The collaboration will focus on developing the Ag-Cormorant, for aerial spraying.
