Interest for Powder River Basin 8,800 Btu/lb coal sparked apair of deals Friday following a tight bid-offer range which hung in theUS over-the-counter thermal coal market for much of the morning.Traders reported PRB 8,800 coal for January delivery was bid at$12.10/st and offered at $12.20/st before brokers closed two deals inthe afternoon at $12.15/st for one train (15,000 st) each.
