N. America chemical rail up 4.1% YOY

During the week ended 7 July, chemical railcar traffic in North America increased 4.1% year over year (YOY) on a sharp surge in Canada. Volume totaled 43,564 carloads, down 8.1% from the previous week, according to data released on 11 July by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). For the year to date, chemical railcar traffic in North America is up 2.5%.
