Nippon Paint completes $2.7-billion acquisition of DuluxGroup

Nippon Paint has announced that it has completed the acquisition of DuluxGroup (Clayton, Australia), following approval from DuluxGroup shareholders and the Federal Court of Australia. The deal was valued at ￥291.7 billion ($2.7 billion). Nippon Paint offered A$9.80/share ($7.02) in cash, which includes A$0.15/share for an interim dividend DuluxGroup plans to pay. DuluxGroup owns the Dulux paint brand in Australia and New Zealand.
