Digital and precision farming technologies and their impacts on India's agrochemical industry

The agrochemical (agchem) industry unjustifiably gets bad press. Its role in enhancing agricultural output - particularly important for India - is largely unrecognised, outside of the industry. Even less spoken is the industry's significant global presence - though not comparable to the much larger pharmaceutical industry, no mean achievement. But the industry faces several challenges: from conventional quarters, from advanced digital technologies, and modern biotechnology, including seed treatments and enhancements.
