A generalized scheme of a multilevel three-phase autonomous line-to-line voltage inverter is proposed, which can serve as a controllable frequency converter for asynchronous electric drive. The positions of the resulting vectors of the phase and line-to-line voltages in a three-phase system of coordinates are determined. The nature of variations in the phase and line-to-line output voltages of the inverter with time is established A harmonic analysis of the voltages at the inverter output is carried out. The proposed approach enables a much better waveform of the output voltage of the inverter to be obtained.
