A detailed and systematic account is given of the problems and methods of the diagnostics oftransformers under load using the results of measurements of winding currents and voltages forperiodic (sinusoidal and nonsinusoidal) modes, including modes with various frequencies, as well asfor transient (slow and quick) processes. Total and simplified diagnostic models of two-winding andmultiwinding (single-phase and multiphase) transformers allowing for non-linear and dynamicproperties and characteristics have been designed. Tables for interconversion of various groups ofdiagnostic parameters of transformers - the parameters of extreme conditions (currents, voltages, idlepowers and short-circuit powers) and the parameters of equivalent circuits - are included.
