The influence of the preliminary thermal treatment (PTT) conditions of cellulose hydrate with ammonium tetraborate soaking on composition and structure of nitridation products has been investigated. The PTT conditions which guarantee theproduction of C-BN fibers with BN covering and hollow or continuous BN fibers have been found.
