Boron nitride fibres preparation while cellulose hydrate is used. III. nitrogenization of hydrocellulose fibres impregnated by boric acid

The effect of preliminary heat treatment (PHT) of hydrated cellulose fibers impregnated with a boric acid on the composition and structure of nitrided products is studied. Upon subsequent nitriding the PHT in an atmosphere of helium led to the formation of carbon fibers with a coating of boron nitride and PHT in air resulted in a powder of hexagonal and rhombohedral boron nitride. The data obtained in this work are compared with those reported in a previous communication.
