摘要

The existing methods for delayed fracture tests of the HAZ of welded joints have sufficient disadvantages. They do not allow objective data about real crack-resistance of joints after welding to he obtained. It is necessary to improve theprocedures which use the criteria of fracture mechanics. The complex test procedure developed by the E. O. Paton Electric Welding Institute makes it possible to determine power intensity of the fracture process, character of plastic deformation in the HAZ overheating area and crack opening rate.
