摘要

Many toque sensors are contact types or usespecially processed shafts. However, such sensors suffer fromvarious problems such as frictional wear, cost, and installation.This paper describes a sensor that detects the torque of non-specialprocessed shafts by means of the inverse magnetostrictive effect,and shows the effectiveness of demagnetization and the possibilityof non-contact measurement in low-carbon steel shafts. The outputof the sensor was increased 2.37 times, and the hysteresis of theoutput was reduced to 1/14 by demagnetization.
