Selective Platformer Catalyst Sorting Procedure using Color Sorting Machine

The on-stream catalyst replacement for CCR-PF (Continuous Catalyst Regeneration Platformer unit) was carried out on May 1998. With the procedure of replacing catalyst, 70 drums of combined new/old catalyst was created. In general, this contaminated catalyst made by on-stream catalyst replacement will be the material for Platinum abstruction done by catalyst manufacturer. However, if it is possible to separate new catalyst from this combined catalyst selectively, it is possible to reduce the cost for new catalyst and fee for Platinum abstraction. Based on this concept, we successfully established the selective sorting procedure using color sorting machine developed by our study.
