The effect of thermal treatment in vacuum andhigh-purity argon atmosphere on the change of the specificsurface and bulk density of sodium reduced tantalum powdershas been studied. A dependence between the conditions ofthermal treatment of powders, shrinkage and specific charge ofvolume-porous anodes has been established. The effect ofpowder alloying with phosphorus is shown to be rctained afterthermai treatment in the temperature range of 800-1500°C.
