摘要

Possibility of increasing the corrosion resistance of oxidized Zr-Nb alloys by means of irradiation with high intensive (3 mA/cm~2) nitrogen ion beam (30 keV, 10~(15) - 10~(18) cm~(-2)) has been considered. Corrosion tests were carried out in the course of approx 1000 h in air at 400 deg C. It is shown the ion-beam treatment of the protective oxide layers slows down a rate of oxidizing by 15 percent. Composition and structure of the modified layers were analysed with the help of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
