Investigation of adaptability of methanol fuel(LN-M92) for Otto-type and diesel-type vehicles

The objective of this study is to examine the adaptability of LN-M92 fuel to Otto-type and Diesel-type vehicles. Fleet tests using LN-M92 were carried out and exhaust emissions, driveability, and durability of engine parts were investigated.Exhaust emissions showed no major differences compared with RG-M85 or M100 fuel. Driveability and durability were nearly equal to RG-M85 or M100 fuel. It was concluded that LN-M92 fuel should be acceptable as the unified formulation fuel for Otto-typeand Diesel-type vehicles.
