Histometrical analysis of secondary growth of a raspberry under the effect of paclobutrazol and dextrel

It has been stated, that the shoot thickness and the area of its basic tissues: bark, wood substance, core, are reduced under the effect of paclobutrazol and dextrel. In experimental plants the reduction of quantity of liberform fibres in radial rows of woodcells, insignificant reduction of sizes of fibres and liberform, earlier lignification of xylem and fibres, amplified formation of the cortical layer of periderma in comparison with the control has been observed. Our results indicate that retardanta reduce cambium activity and accelerate processes of differentiation of the basic tissues of the stem.
