Carotenoids of photosynthetic tissue in the drought conditions

摘要

The protective role of carotenoids in formation of defensive mechanisms of the plant photosynthetic apparatus directed to the increasing of their tolerance to the drought factors action is considered. It is shown that such biochemical indexes as carotene and xanthophyll content with their wide ecologic and physiologic variability could be used as tests for characteristics of plant adaptive peculiarities in conditions of high temperature and water deficit action.
