It started in early February when a coalition of U.S. manufacturers-tired of waiting for Washington to enforce the country's trade laws-decided to take action against foreign companies it alleges are circumventing anti-dumping orders on low-priced, unfairly traded imports. But it didn't stop there. Within a week, U.S. producers of circular-welded pipe and light-walled rectangular tubing products announced the formation of a special task force within the Committee on Pipe and Tube Imports (CPTI) to seek an end to the evasion of anti-dumping duties on imports of steel tubular products from China.
