Descriptions are provided for 4 early cultivars, Vesna (adapted for growing in 4 regions in Russia), Vesna belaya (grown in 3 regions), Snegir' (approved for 5 regions) and Oredezhskii (characterized by stable yields irrespective of weather conditions and excellent flavour, and grown in the Ural region), and medium early cultivar Charodei (allowed for use in 5 regions). Development is reported of high yielding, resistant to Phytophthora infestans cultivars Skazka, Nayada, Zhavoronok and Zagadka Pitera on the basis of wild species. Resistance to nematodes is reported in Nayada, and the new cultivars Vdokhnovenie, Liga, Ocharovanie and Valentinka.
