Data on condition of functional breathing system (FBS) and of oxygenous regimes of organism (ORO) ill horses of roadster breeds obtained at their examination under conditions of normoxia and with inhalation of hypoxic gaseous mixtures containing 16, 14, 12 and 10% of O_2 are presented. Indicators which characterize condition of FBS and ORO in coursers are determined. III is shown that lower partial pressure of oxygen in inhalated air (pO_2) causes in animals stronger function of mechanisms directed to compensation of lowering pO_2 -- intensification of breathing, blood circulation, respiratory function of blood. Horses of roadster breeds arc more semsitive to hypoxia than man, in horses tissue hypoxia develops at relatively non-sharp hypoxic effect (at 12% of O_2 in gaseous mixtures). On the basis of data on FBS response of courses to hypoxia a new efficiant method of preparing horses of roadster breeds Io tests on hippodromes has been developed and evaluated -- normobaric interval hypoxic fraining promoting higher aerobic FBS productivity, improvement of speed and sport indicators, as well as working capacity of coursers.
