Demographic analysis of moose population in the central Urals [Russian]

The main demographic parameters of the moose population in the central Urals are given. Specific survival rate, fecundity, growth rate of the population, proportion of sexes in different age classes, and decrease of their numbers were calculated based on the sampling of 337 shot animals. The data collected in the northwestern parts of Russia (Vereshchagin, Rusakov, 1979) were analyzed in a similar way. The similarity and differences of the results obtained for these two regions are considered.
