A result of speech quality evaluation of circuit multiplexing schemes for carrying voice calls over IP networks

IP networks for enterprises' network and public network have been widely penetrating along with remarkable progress of devices for composing IP network infrastructure. In resent years, especially, attention is being paid to deployments of VoIP (Voice over IP) services and, in future, voice is predicted to be a promising traffic over IP networks. In this paper, as a technique for providing VoIP services, we discuss schemes for transporting voice signals efficiently over IP networks, and considering the requirements on the schemes, we provide circuit multiplexing schemes for carrying voice calls over IP networks and present a result of speech quality evaluation of the schemes.
