摘要

In a search radar which applied staggered PRF(Pulse Repetition Frequency), a clutter suppression method using time-varying transversal FIR filters has been presented. Because such a clutter suppression filter has no method controlling filter order automatically, order of every filter needs to be determined beforehand. Therefore in the environment where the bandwidth of the clutter is unknown, the filter order may become superfluous or clutter may partly remain. In this report we propose a method for determining the overall filter order by comparing input and output signal power of each filter for clutter suppression filters with cascade connection of a first-order time-varying filter in order to control the whole filter order according to received signals. We also show the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulation.
