Monitoring system for 275kV Ama-Matsugae underground power cable transmission line

摘要

The 275kV XLPE cable line, Ama-Matsugae Line with length of 23.1km, connecting Ama switching house to Matsugae substation was constructed by Chubu Electric Power Company to supply more power to central Nagoya. The monitoring system which can monitor both power cable and the relative facilities was delivered by Fujikura Ltd. The sophisticated optical fiber distributed temperature sensor to detect monitoring events and the newly-developed clock pulse signal from GPS satellite to locate cable fault point accurately were applied in these monitoring system. These systems were very cost-effective by using standardized equipments.
