摘要

New preparation method of porous titanium dioxide films by using dip-coating technique has been developed. Dip-coating solutions containing polyethylene glycol were prepared by sol-gel method. The solutions were obtained by hydrolyzing titanium tetra-isopropoxide and adding polyethylene glycol. The porous films were prepared on glass substrate and heating at 500°C. The roughness factor of the films was estimated by the amount of Ru dye adsorbed on the titanium dioxide surface with monolayer. The roughness factor increased with an increase in the concentration of polyethylene glycol in the dip-coating solution. Therefore, it was found that the surface area of the film increased approximately 2.5 times by addition of polyethylene glycol to the dip-coating solution. The surface area of titanium dioxide films can be controlled by changing polymer concentration in the dip-coating solution.
