摘要

Various e-learning systems are developed on the basis of development of a multimedia information technology and the Internet technology. Many of such e-Learning systems are based on a huge database or simulation system, and it provides the student with the contents generated from these DB or simulation through the Internet. However, in science and engineering education area, it is not only deficient in charm by these conventional systems but it substantially produces many restrictions. Standing on above background, we propose "Web-Laboratory system" which builds science and engineering system experiment environment real on a web browser, which is fundamentally different from the conventional e-Learning system. In this paper, at first the research objectives are clarified and a system configuration is described from the view point of hardware and software as well as the potential possibilities of this system are also described.
