摘要

Since the first import of LNG by Japan, LNG storage tanks have been operated for over twenty years. For the purpose of internal checks of inner tanks for extended operation, a cryogenic camera equipment for above-ground tanks has been developed based on the technology applied to inground tanks. The camera equipment has not only the same features such as capability of in-liquid (in-LNG) observation and authorized explosion-proof structure. but also the following new features. (1) Observation of 9 percent Ni steel inner tank with dark primer has become possible by the powerful and directional lighting. (2) Only one existing nozzle is necessary to install the equipment owing to the development of a composite camera-lighting insert head.
