摘要

A lone pilot assisted CDMA system is capable of separating the interference components included in a received input by solving a simultaneous equation. This real performance, however, depends on the property of the lone pilot response matrix P which is given by the user spreading sequences and the multipath conditions. Consequently, it does not work well whenever the matrix P has a wrong property. This paper proposes an effective technique which improves the property by introducing a virtual user into a group of real users to be served. The simulation results indicate a remarkable improvement in the error rate performance. In addition, this technique may little reduce such excellent frequency utilization efficiency that the lone pilot assisted system has achieved.
