Good rain - good pastures - good news

MANY areas of the country entered 2010 with some excellent falls of rain, hopefully creating the opportunity for good pasture growth and the replenishment of water storages. This will provide for many farmers a sound moisture profile for this year's winter crop. Despite the longer range forecasters not being overly optimistic about the summer-autumn period for rain, I hope the weather patterns develop into more productive rainfall for graziers, farmers and lot feeders.
