OPPORTUNITIES for young people to establish strong career paths through the pastoral company and large commercial feedlot networks were in clear evidence when the feedlot industry's 2004 Young Achiever award was announced recently. This year's PhibroYoung Achiever award winner, Geoff Cornford, has worked his way up through the ranks at the North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCO), which he joined as a jackaroo in 1993. He received his award during the feedlot industry's BeefEx convention on the Gold Coast in September.
