There is a growing need for effective air purifiers to deal with offensive odors and allergens in indoor environments from such sources as household pets, tobacco smoke and building materials. Air purifiers are especially important for the comfort of bedridden, elderly people, who spend most of their time in one room. MEW has developed a new plasma deodorization technology that employs plasma electric discharge and a titanium catalyst to achieve a long service life and performance superior toconventional activated charcoal filtering. The company has demonstrated a high-performance air purifier based on this technology that removes bacteria and virus particles from room air, in addition to deodorizing.
