Image processing system for PC extensionboard-style

In recent years, machines tend to introduce PC (Personal Computer) as a main controller on factory automation fields because PC's performance was remarkably increasing. Especially, PC extension board type image processing systems are often used as "eye" of robots or inspection machines. We developed PC board-style image processing system (product name: Micro-Imagechecker "M300") which is designed and constructed as ISA bus extension board for IBM-PC/AT compatible PC, and we can operate it using "Vision M300", an application software of Microsoft Windows. As "M300" succeeds the design of our stand-alone image processing system, we realized it executes all of the image processing using on board RISC CPU and ASIC. It means PC's CPU are still free even if during the period of heavy inspection sequences.
