摘要

A method for determination of mechanical strength of short tubular specimens in the range of 300 - 1300 K is presented. The method is based on hydraulic fracture of the samples using complex viscous medium (medium composition depends on the testing temperature). The method is tested on the single crystal corrundum samples. Spread in data is 10 percent with respect to the mean value of measured strength.
