摘要

Handy phone services have come into wide use recently. Handy phones can now be used almost anywhere such as inside a car. In these cases, input level to the handset is reduced considerably because of the shielding provides by the car's body. In order to estimate the level decreases, data of radiated characteristics out side a car are very important. In the case of calculating radiated waves from a cabin antenna, multiple reflected waves inside a car must be accurately estimated. We selected a Moment Method simulator for this purpose. Acceptable convergences in calculations can be achieved by setting simulator parameters to be accurate. Calculated results are compared with measured results of 1/7 scale model of a car. Well agreement is ensured. Effects of multiple reflected waves are separated through experiments. Moreover, radiation pattern dependences on antenna polarization and positions are also clarified.
