SDMA beam control method utilizing DCMP adaptive array in broadband fixed wireless access systems

SDMA is an attractive technique to increase the channel capacity of FWA systems. The adaptive array antenna for base station is a key technology to realize SDMA. In FWA systems, a user terminal is fixed, then the results of DOA estimation and weight adaptation for SDMA can be prepared in the database to serve on operation. In this paper, we propose a SDMA beam control method utilizing DCMP adaptive array in broadband FWA systems The proposed method does not require high precision on DOA estimation, which can be used with the adaptive array steered by local signal phase shifters.
